Intro: Tapada do Chaves is a historic producer of very small quantities, destined to an elite of consumers of rare fine wines. With 60 hectares of land and 32 hectares of vineyard, Tapada do Chaves produces different wines that have, however, one thing in common” they all result from the most privileged Portuguese terroirs.

Grapes: Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet
Aging: For 12 months in both Portuguese and French oak barrels, then in the bottle for 24 months.
ABV: 15.5 % || Decant: 1-2 hours || Serving Temp: 18°C
Pairing: Pork belly, Steak, Roast Lamb, Brazilian BBQ
Tasting Notes: Deep garnet in colour, with an intense and full aroma, dominated by forest fruit and black fruit, with light smoky hints. Well-structured on the palate, with strong tannins, full-bodied and firm acidity. Its intense fruitiness appears alongside spicy and smooth balsamic sensations. Extremely complex, fruity and very elegant persistent finish.
