The name “Cartuxa” (Charterhouse) comes from the Carthusian Monastery of Évora, near the estate, symbolizing tradition and spiritual heritage. Considered one of Portugal’s most iconic wines, often called the “younger sibling” of Pêra-Manca, Cartuxa’s most prestigious label.
