Quinta Dos Aciprestes | Red | 2019 | Doc Douro - Robert Parker 90 Point / Vivino 4.0
Intro: The Aciprestes Tinto is made from parcels of old vines aged over 4o years, planted in a field blend, with a smaller selection of grapes than usual, which at the time represented the favourite amongst producers.
Region: Douro (D.O.C)
Winery: Real Companhia Velha
Grapes: Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao & Tinta Amarela
Aging: 8 months in French Oak
Tasting Notes: Clean, deep and beautiful garnet colour. Intense aromas of plums and cherries. A very slight nuance of vanilla reflects the necessary time of barrel aging which in no way intrudes on its tipicity. On tasting, the wine enters the palate with a true explosion of ripe fruit flavours leaving in the finish an expression of perfect structural harmony.
ABV: 14% Serving Temp: 16-18°C Pairing: Rich meat dishes, game, strong cheese
