Meursault 1er Cru Porusots 2017
Intro: The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru “Porusots” from Domaine des Comtes Lafon is a pure & mineral expression of Chardonnay from this prestigious estate. The Porusots vineyard is less than 1 ha at the domaine and sits in the “Dessous” sub climat of Meursault 1er Cru. In 2017 the yield was very low (45 hl/ha) for this bottling. The domaine is run by Dominique Lafon and is widely regarded as one of the benchmark estates for white Burgundy.

Tasting Notes: The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Porusots, Comtes Lafon displays a pale yellow hue with green reflections, offering aromas of citrus peel, nectarine, hazelnut, white flowers, and a touch of flinty reduction. Medium to full bodied, it shows firm acidity, saline minerality, and a refined, silky texture with well integrated oak. The finish is long, precise, and tension driven; elegant and mineral rather than opulent, built for graceful ageing
