Macon Bussieres 2020
Intro: This 2020 vintage of Mâcon Bussières “Le Monsard” from Héritiers du Comte Lafon comes from a tiny parcel (0.74 ha) in Bussières, just south of the Côte de Beaune, planted on thin clay over white marl/limestone soils. The estate Héritiers du Comte Lafon was established in 1999 when the famed Lafon family (of Meursault) expanded into the Mâconnais region. The parcel “Le Monsard” sits on thin soils very similar to those of Pouilly Fuissé, giving Chardonnay here a fine mineral drive and freshness unusual in the Mâconnais.
