Cotes du Rhone Rouge Reserve 2015
Intro: This 2015 vintage of Château des Tours “Réserve” showcases the exceptional pedigree of the estate run by Emmanuel Reynaud (of the iconic Château Rayas). While labelled under the Côtes du Rhône appellation, the wine benefits from old vine Grenache, meticulous viticulture and a terroir that punches above the regional level. The 2015 vintage is noted for its richness, depth of fruit and elegance in the Southern Rhône. Though this wine bears the “Côtes du Rhône” label, the estate uses the best parcels and farming practices to produce wines that rival many top level Rhône appellations. The name Château des Tours (meaning “castle of the towers”) references the old stone towers on the property.

Tasting Notes: The 2015 Côtes du Rhône Rouge Réserve, Château des Tours shows a deep ruby color with developing garnet hues. The nose reveals red and dark berries, rose petal, saffron, pepper, garrigue, and subtle leather notes. Medium to full bodied, it’s generous yet balanced, with plush Grenache fruit, Syrah structure, and a Cinsault lift. Silky tannins, bright acidity, and mineral undertones lead to a long, elegant finish. Now beautifully drinkable yet still evolving
