Cote Rotie La Landonne 2014
Intro: This 2014 vintage of La Landonne from Maison E. Guigal is a powerhouse red wine from the famed Côte Brune hillside of the Côte Rôtie appellation. Fully 100% Syrah, vinified without destemming, aged 40 months in new oak . It expresses black fruit, smoke, crushed stone, olive and asphalt, with formidable tannic structure and a long lifespan ahead. The La Landonne vineyard is located on the Côte Brune side of Côte Rôtie and Guigal’s plot is just 2.2 ha, making production extremely limited.
