Cote Rotie 2016
Intro: The 2016 vintage of Domaine Jamet’s Côte Rôtie comes from the famed Northern Rhône appellation, crafted with 100 % Syrah from a selection of parcels described as “essentially whole bunches, a variety of terroirs across Côte Blonde & Côte Brune.” It delivers a classic yet refined style: understated power, purity of red/blue dark fruit, fine tannins, and notable minerality rather than overt richness. The Domaine’s vineyards cover parcels in both Côte Brune and Côte Blonde and the estate emphasises terroir variation to build complexity. The 2016 vintage is noted for being more “tailored and precise” than the richer 2015, emphasising finesse over power.
