Forman Cabernet Sauvignon (3 Lt Jeroboam) | Red | 2001 | California - Vivino 4.4
Intro: Influenced early on by the wines and winemaking practices of the Bordeaux region of France, I have consistently sought a similar perfection for the wines of Forman Vineyard. If I had to choose two words which embody the character of Forman Vineyard wines they would be finesse and elegance.
Region: USA | California
Winery: Forman
Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Aging: French Oak Barrels
Tasting Notes: Robert Parker for Wine Advocate 92 Points: “Still youthful but accessible and evolving very positively, Forman’s 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon has a dense ruby/plum/purple color just beginning to lighten at the edge. A hypothetical blend of top-class Medoc and a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, notes of licorice, tobacco leaf, damp earth, black currants and violets are all present in this medium to full-bodied wine, which still has some tannin to resolve. It should hit its peak in another 2-3 years and last for 15+.” (RP) May 2011
