Tasting Notes: Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 89 Points: "Tasted at a vertical tasting at the château. The 2003 Haut Batailley has a pleasant nose of black fruit and warm gravel, just a hint of licorice in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple, gamey entry. There is an animally aspect to this mature Haut-Batailley which is approachable and charming. It does reflect the vintage more than the terroir but it is still perfectly enjoyable with a lovely savory finish. Drink now and over several years." (RP) Tasted Jul 2016
