Intro: The 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay from Domaine Coche Dury is a remarkable expression of the regional appellation from one of Burgundy’s most esteemed producers. Domaine Coche Dury is based in Meursault and is widely regarded as one of the benchmark estates for white Burgundy. Its wines command intense demand and exceptional prices. For the 2022 vintage, Raphaël Coche commented that although the growing season was very sunny and dry, there were two significant rain bands (late July) which helped regenerate the soil and preserve freshness. Which is evident in this wine’s vibrancy. Despite being labelled “Bourgogne”, this wine comes from parcels around the domaine’s home in Meursault and shows terroir expression far beyond its regional status.

Tasting Notes: The 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay, Coche Dury shows a pale gold hue with green highlights, offering aromas of lemon zest, chamomile, and stony minerality. Medium to medium full bodied, it features vibrant acidity, white peach and mirabelle fruit, subtle oak, and a textured mid palate. The finish is long, mineral, and seamless.
