Special bundle of our Red Wine favorite Portuguese single grape varietals. Have some fun, blind taste your friends or surprise them with a less known wine. Our wines come from flagship wineries of Portugal, personally curated a process that took our founders 11 month
1) RCV Series Tinto Cao 2016 – vivino 4.3
Tinto Cao is a synonym of the Douro! A wonderful grape that produces small berries with thick skin and full of flavour. This is a red of great character and expression, with immense aromatic complexity and rusticity, showing aromas of red fruit and herbal suggestions in a charming nose. On the palate, it reveals itself rustic, with firm tannins, yet delicate, showing some elegance and finishing off vibrant and lingering.
2) Aciprestes Sousao Grande Reserva 2015 - vivino 4.6
This wine reveals the essence of Sousão through a very deep and profound tint colour, typical of this famed variety. Hints of green combine with fine fruit aromas and classic Sousão tertiary notes of spice and coffee grain, offering immense aromatic complexity. Flavourful, yet smooth on the palate, with vivid yet round tannins and finally characterised but a very lively acidity, which again is typical in Sousão. Aged for 18 months in French Oak.
3) Ravasqueira Touriga Franca 2019 - vivino 4.1
A serious Touriga Franca single grape varietal wine (Think Cab Franc). This wine is complex with 18 months in oak and is great with a charcuterie and cheeseboard. dark, opaque, and dense in colour. Nose with an exuberant aromatic freshness. Serious, with notes of black fruits, broom, black olive, and mineral. In the test, all of the aromatic characteristics are felt, with a long attack and volume. Spicy and growing tannins. It opens up and reveals itself with time in the glass, increasing its intensity.
4) Rocim Alicante Bouschet 2020 - vivino 4.0
Herdade do Rocim is located in the heart of the Alentejo and is one of the most respected wineries in the region. The vineyards are organic and true to the unique terroir using native grapes to the region. The Alicante Bouschet has become synom of the Alentejo and a backbone in it's wines! Aged for 12 months in French Oak. Deep concentrated ruby colour. Enticing aroma of black fruits and a well balanced minerality with the spicy notes from barrel aging. Well structured tannins and balanced acidity, allowing a good bottle ageing.
5) RCV Series Bastardo 2017 - Vivino 4.1
One of our favourite SGV from Portugal! Aged for 12 months in French Oak Barriques this wine is a very bright red, that impresses at first for its brick red colour, quirte unusual for a Douro Red. On the nose it reveals a very intense and complex fruity character with notes of wild berries, pomegranate and gooseberries. This wine primes for its intensity and elegance, showing nobility and finesse, with round firm tanins and a long, lingering finish. Offers immense adaptability for food pairing.
6) UDACA Touriga Nacional 2015 - Vivino 3.9
Named after the queen of red grapes from the Dao region the ‘Touriga Nacional’ of which this wine is purely made from. Aged for 12 months in Allier Fino Barrels. A ruby coloured wine. On the nose it presents aroma of very ripe wild fruits, with nuances of cherry and spices of exquisite bouquet Flavor: Intense and deep, full, with good structure, with an exquisite finish and high persistence, showing its own personality.
