Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2018
Intro: The 2018 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru from Domaine Pierre Yves Colin Morey is a standout white Burgundy from one of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious terroirs. The domaine uses 350 litre barrels for their elite whites including this Corton Charlemagne; smaller format than many, to finesse texture and slow oak influence. Pierre Yves emphasises minimal intervention: whole cluster pressing, natural yeasts, lees contact, and long élevage to bring out terroir rather than overt oak.
