Bourgogne Blanc 2021
Intro: The Ramonet Bourgogne Blanc 2021 offers a compelling entry into the white wine range from the well regarded house of Jean Claude Ramonet (Chassagne Montrachet, Côte de Beaune). Ramonet’s cellar practice states that for the entry level blanc cuvées: “the white wines get about 5% new oak for the entry level cuvées; aged in barrel for 18 months on the lees, with no bâtonnage or racking up until they are bottled.” The 2021 Bourgogne Blanc is a regional appellation wine. Enabling Ramonet to showcase quality Chardonnay from parcels which may be younger or not part of their Premier/Grand Cru holdings, making it a somewhat accessible entry into their portfolio.
