From the pioneering vision of a group of men who planned to leverage the Dão region and its wines to levels never before achieved, on May 21, 1966, UDACA – União das Adegas Cooperativas do Dão was born.
Currently, UDACA, with its Associated Wineries, represents almost 60% of the production of Dão wines which, together with the numerous awards and participation in events, reflects UDACA as one of the main voices of Dão and Beira Alta.
Due to the Geology of the Dao region vineyards are often smaller in size and friends with wineries join to make great wines in larger quantities.
