Millessime Bruto 2016
Intro: This Millésime (vintage) sparkling wine reflects Murganheira’s conviction that 2016 was an exceptional harvest, worthy of being bottled as a single-year cuvée. After fermentation, the wine undergoes a full decade of bottle aging, during which it is given annual bâtonnage to enhance texture, complexity, and depth. This long élevage results in a refined, expressive sparkling wine that showcases both the quality of the vintage and Murganheira’s meticulous craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes: The 2016 Millésime Brut is vibrant, refined, and beautifully balanced, showcasing the purity of a single-vintage sparkling wine. The bouquet opens with aromas of crisp green apple, pear, and citrus zest, complemented by notes of white flowers, fresh bread, and subtle mineral tones. On the palate, it is elegant and focused, with fine, persistent bubbles and flavors of lemon, orchard fruit, and light stone fruit. Gentle autolytic hints of brioche and almond add complexity without overpowering the freshness. The finish is long, clean, and precise, a sophisticated vintage Brut with excellent finesse and aging potential.
