Les Roises Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 48 Months 2015
Intro: Ulysse Collin’s Les Roises is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne crafted from a small 0.62 hectare parcel in Collin’s home village of Congy. With vines averaging 60 years of age, planted on clay limestone soils and facing south, Les Roises produces some of the domaine’s richest, most textural wines. The 2015 base release was aged 48 months on lees, expressing Olivier Collin’s philosophy of long elevage, barrel vinification, and minimal intervention. Compared to Les Pierrieres (tense, mineral driven) and Les Enfers (broad, dense), Les Roises is often described as the most vinous and Burgundian of the range, emphasizing depth, ripeness, and power.

Tasting Notes: Les Roises Blanc de Blan15 Extra Brut 48 Months 2015 displays rich orchard fruits (pear, baked apple), honeycomb, brioche, and toasted almonds, complemented by subtle floral and mineral notes. The palate is wide, rich, and vinous, with a creamy texture and depth from the ancient vines and extended lees age. Candied citrus, toasted almond, chalk, and mild spice flavors develop with air, resulting in a long, salty, and strong finish. This cuvee embodies Olivier Collin's full-bodied Burgundian style.
