Vosne Romanee Le Clos Goillotte 2007
Intro: This 2007 bottle from Domaine Domaine Prieuré Roch hails from the monopole vineyard “Clos Goillotte” in the village of Vosne Romanée. The wine is characterised by a fine balance between elegance and depth: red fruit charm (raspberry, cherry) with hints of under growth, fine tannin and Vosne spice. The vineyard is very small (0.55 ha), with old vines (50 yrs) offering concentration and pedigree. The Clos Goillotte vineyard is a monopole of Domaine Prieuré Roch and covers just 0.55 hectare in the heart of Vosne Romanée. The estate uses organic / low intervention viticulture and the wine is noted by some as being “feminine” for its finesse and delicacy.
