Intro: This 2018 vintage of Ja Nai Les Saugettes from Domaine des Miroirs is a rare and highly sought after Jura red, crafted by Japanese born winemaker Kenjiro Kagami. Set in the village of Grusse (Jura, France), the estate practices organic natural viticulture and minimal intervention vinification. The wine shows a vivid expression of the Poulsard grape (and possibly other Jura varieties) with red fruits, gentle herbal notes, high purity and a distinctive terroir identity. “Domaine des Miroirs” literally means “Estate of Mirrors”. A play on Kagami’s name (鏡 means mirror in Japanese) and his philosophy of the vineyard reflecting the winemaker and his environment.
