The 2019 growing season featured strong day night temperature differentials which helped the grapes develop excellent phenolic maturity while maintaining freshness. Sassicaia 2019 spends an extended period in oak; 25 months in this vintage. Highlighting the estate’s move toward longer ageing and greater refinement. Tasting Notes: The 2019 Sassicaia, Tenuta San Guido shows a deep ruby colour with a subtle violet rim. The nose is elegant and layered, offering dark cherries, blackcurrant, cedar, violet, graphite minerality, and herbal notes of sage and rosemary. On the palate, it is full bodied yet refined, with plush dark fruit, fine grained tannins, and vibrant acidity providing structure. The finish is long and complex, echoing tobacco, dark chocolate, spice, and stone
