Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Les Blanchards 2020
Intro: The 2020 Les Blanchards exhibits concentration, depth and structure, characteristic of the vintage and the terroir at Lignier. According to one retailer, the wine offers “a harmonious blend of red and black fruits, with subtle earthy undertones and floral nuances. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. It offers a generous core of ripe fruit and a mineral rich finish.” The terroir of Les Blanchards lies just under the slopes of the grand cru vineyards and benefits from clay rich soils that stress the vines and give wines of intensity and structure. Somewhat more robust than the lighter hillside crus.
