Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru 2017
Intro: The 2017 Mazis Chambertin from Domaine Tawse is a Grand Cru Pinot Noir produced on the upper slopes of the vineyard of Mazis Chambertin in the village of Gevrey Chambertin, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. The Mazis Chambertin vineyard is the most northerly of the Grand Cru appellations of Gevrey Chambertin, giving it a unique site position. For the 2017 vintage, Domaine Tawse noted that they de stemmed a larger proportion than in the past (to avoid green character from stems in cooler parts of Gevrey) and that this was the first vintage made entirely in their new cellars in Nuits St Georges after leaving the old Gevrey facility.
