Le Difese 2022

Intro: Le Difese 2022 is the entry level red from Tenuta San Guido (the same estate behind Sassicaia), crafted to combine Tuscan identity and approachable structure. The vintage shows intensity of fruit, softness, and well integrated tannins, offering both freshness and elegance. The Sangiovese used in Le Difese 2022 comes partly from partner growers in Chianti and Chianti Rufina; as Sangiovese is not easy to source in the Bolgheri zone. Despite a warm spring and rainy autumn in 2022, hillside vineyards delivered excellent grapes with balanced acidity and not excessive alcohol, reflecting the estate’s terroir.
