La Clotte - Saint Emilion 2015
Intro: The 2015 vintage is described as a real step up for the estate under its new ownership. One source notes: “Composed of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon; full bodied and decadently fruited with a firm backbone of very ripe, beautifully velvety tannins”. The word “Clotte” in the name comes from the Gascon term for a small grotto or cave, referencing the estate’s limestone cellars and hillside terrain.
