Hermitage Les Bessards 2018
Intro: The “Les Bessards” parcel covers about 8 hectares of the Hermitage hill. Maison Delas only releases this cuvée in exceptional years and production is extremely limited (6,000 bottles); making it a collector’s piece. This single vineyard cuvée from the famed hillside of the Hermitage appellation delivers full throttle Syrah from the steep granite slopes of the “Les Bessards” lieu dit. The 2018 vintage is both powerful and refined; dark berry fruit, violet and pepper spice, firm tannins and great balance for long ageing.
