Intro: The 2017 vintage of Armilla’s Brunello di Montalcino comes from a small, high quality estate in Tuscany. It reflects the estate's focused approach: vines planted in 1982 on clay limestone soils, producing Sangiovese that strikes a balance between fruit richness and refined structure. Armilla is very much a boutique producer. Only a few thousand bottles produced each year. Their vineyard lies near some of Montalcino’s most historic estates, yet Armilla remains comparatively under the radar, offering exceptional value for high quality Brunello.

Tasting Notes: The 2017 Brunello di Montalcino, Armilla shows a deep ruby hue with a luminous edge. The nose reveals wild berries, dark plum, subtle florals, leather, tobacco, and spice. Medium to full bodied with a Sangiovese fruit core, firm yet polished tannins, lively acidity, and a mineral backbone. The finish is long, savory, and structured for graceful ageing over the next 8–12 years
