Intro: This wine is the 2011 Riserva from the single vineyard Asili, crafted by legendary producer Bruno Giacosa in the Barbaresco region of Piedmont, Italy. It’s a premium expression of Nebbiolo marked by elegance, depth and serious aging potential Asili is a tiny cru vineyard and Giacosa’s “Riserva” bottlings are produced only in his very best vintages. The 2011 vintage, despite some challenging weather, produced a Barbaresco with both power and finesse in Giacosa’s hands.
