Intro: The 2018 Carlo Giacosa Barbaresco Asili is a single vineyard Nebbiolo from the historic Asili cru near the renowned Montestefano site. Pale in color and elegant in style, it offers floral aromas, soft tannins, and a finesse often compared to Burgundy Pinot Noir. Purchased in 1964 and first vinified on its own in 2018, this south and south west facing vineyard expresses the purity and refined character of the Asili terroir.

The palate is well-structured with fine, ripe tannins, lively acidity, and flavors of strawberry compote, orange zest, and underbrush, leading to a long, savory finish.
