Intro: The name “Core” (meaning heart in Neapolitan dialect) commemorates Montevetrano's 20th anniversary. It's a standalone vineyard selection highlighting the estate’s essence. The 2019 Montevetrano Core Campania Rosso is the "second label" of the iconic Montevetrano, offering similar quality but made from 100% local Aglianico grapes.

Tasting Notes: The 2019 Montevetrano Core Campania Rosso bursts with aromas of ripe black cherries, wild berries, and plums, accented by violet, sweet spice, and a touch of smoky minerality. On the palate, it’s vibrant yet structured, delivering juicy blackberry, cassis, and black plum flavors wrapped in fine-grained tannins. Subtle notes of cocoa, cedar, and Mediterranean herbs add complexity, while the fresh acidity gives balance and lift. The finish is smooth, lingering with dark fruit and spice.
