Auxey Duresses Les Hoz Blanc 2022 || Magnum
Intro: The 2022 Auxey Duresses “Les Hoz” Blanc is produced by Domaine Agnès Paquet from old vine Chardonnay in a cool, calcareous rich site in the hamlet of Melin, Auxey Duresses. It offers a bright golden colour with green reflections, aromas of white flowers, green apple, citrus zest and wet stone minerality. The palate is fresh, dense yet elegant, with fine acidity and mineral drive. The “Les Hoz” vineyard parcel is the original block of the estate, a single 5 ha parcel facing full south in the hamlet of Melin, Auxey Duresses. Planted partly in Chardonnay (now 90 years old) and partly in Pinot Noir. The soil is described as “very calcareous, white soil and deep earth”, giving the Chardonnay in this plot a distinctive mineral lift and finesse.
