Ausone - Saint Emilion 2015
Intro: The 2015 vintage of Château Ausone is widely considered one of its finest. It is described by critics as “an utterly perfect wine,” with an ideal balance of richness, precision, finesse and age worthiness. This wine delivers a multi layered fruit profile, seamless freshness, and long finish. The estate is named after the Roman poet Decimius Magnus Ausonius, who is traditionally believed to have owned a villa on the plot. With only 7 ha of vines, Château Ausone is tiny compared to many Bordeaux estates, which helps maintain its exclusivity and intensity.
